Read More Icebreaker is an outdoor apparel company that thinks it's crazy to go into nature wearing plastic (AKA synthetic technical fibers). Specializing in merino wool, they were one of the first brands to disrupt the outdoor gear industry that is totally dependent on petro-chemicals. Alternatively, merino wool is lightweight, soft, itch-free, resistant to odors and environmentally friendly. Icebreaker works with sustainable farmers and audits their entire supply chain and factories to ensure they are planet and people positive. Overall, the company is 96.14% plastic-free and is aiming for 100%. And for more lofty goals, 100% of their wool will be sourced from growers using regenerative practices by 2028.

Read More prAna is a lifestyle brand that makes SoCal inspired activewear and outdoor-friendly clothing for men and women. Beaver and Pam Theodosakis launched prAna from their own garage, making the clothing (and even the recycled paper tags) themselves. They were the very first North American clothing company to introduce Fair Trade certified clothing. And the list goes on: they are a Fair Labor Association accredited brand; they operate Fair Trade certified factories; they are a founding member of the OIA Climate Action Corps; they are a bluesign partner; and they are a member of the Chetna Coalition, a cooperative organization that builds a value chain for 10,000 organic cotton farmers. prAna uses proceeds to support the 5 Gyres Institute, Canopy, The Conservation Alliance and Outdoor Outreach.
