Manufacturing partners include a women's cooperative in Mumbai, an energy efficient factory in Portugal where scrap fabric is recycled and upcycled and an atelier in the Netherlands that employs people with barriers to traditional employment. See All Ten years ago, Krochet Kids and Known Supply's founders started a production facility and community development project in Uganda, a country ravaged by rebel violence and civil war. This has grown into a global social enterprise. Each Known Supply & Krochet Kids piece is hand-signed by the maker, and customers can search the Known Supply site to read each maker's bio. Krochet Kids products are handmade by artisans in Uganda and Peru. Known Supply makes all of their woven hats at ASI which is the world's first Fair Trade Certified production facility in China. All apparel is made in a factory in Peru that provides meaningful job training and employment to women and offers onsite childcare. They also work with four Fair Trade Certified factories in India.

They use natural, renewable and certified organic materials, including GOTS certified organic cotton, linen, hemp, recycled cotton yarn, sustainably sourced cellulose from Lenzing, Modal and Tencel. They also prioritize fair work environments, garment longevity, transparency and traceability, animal welfare and water stewardship.
