Koio makes luxurious, sustainable footwear for men and women that will elevate your everyday style. They work exclusively with an artisan studio in Florence, Italy. They only use sustainable materials. Regenerative leather is sourced from farms in the Swiss Alps that are reversing carbon emissions, restoring soils and increasing biodiversity. Then it's Zeolite tanned using minerals rather than chrome, aldehyde, and heavy metals. Leather Working Group certified leather is tanned in facilities that are safely and responsibly managing emissions, energy and water consumption and waste. Vegan products are made from apple leather. Their LACTAE HEVEA® soles are made in France using responsibly sourced milk from hevea trees. Even the laces are certified organic cotton. Other sustainable materials include cork, recycled rubber and recycled polyester. Last, but not least, Koio offers a recycling program to ensure the impact of their shoes remains low even after they reach end of life.

VitaminA's founder created the first premium swim fabric made from recycled nylon fibers and named it EcoLux.
