Read More At Warp + Weft, mindful manufacturing is in the "jeans" of this family-owned denim company. First off, they operate an eco-friendly mill in Pakistan that's powered by solar panels and uses way less water than traditional denim manufacturers. This number may shock you, but a pair of jeans made the traditional way uses 1,500 gallons of water, while a pair of Warp + Weft jeans only uses 10 gallons of water! If that weren't enough, they recycle 98% of the water they use and avoid the typical environmentally harsh bleaching process by instead using Dry Ozone technology. They source cotton that is certified by Recover recycled cotton, Better Cotton Institute and Cotton USA. They use Dystar Liquid Indigo, a pre-reduced dye that needs less water and minimizes harmful byproducts. Warp + Weft ensures ethical practices, fair wages, reasonable hours and positive working conditions. Their clothing line is size inclusive.
