They source plastic from Taiwan, a small island nation that recycles 55% of all its waste compared to just 35% in the USA. The plastic is transformed into Oeko-Tex certified synthetic fabric that is cut and sewn in a SA8000 certified factory in Vietnam. The factory guarantees fair wages, safe and healthy conditions and zero forced or child labor. Fabric is colored with eco-friendly dyes. Wastewater is treated and cooled before being discarded. Packaging is 100% recycled and recyclable. Their garment recycling program takes back Girlfriend and non-Girlfriend brand clothing and rewards you with store credit.
