See All Ten years ago, Krochet Kids and Known Supply's founders started a production facility and community development project in Uganda, a country ravaged by rebel violence and civil war. This has grown into a global social enterprise. Each Known Supply & Krochet Kids piece is hand-signed by the maker, and customers can search the Known Supply site to read each maker's bio. Krochet Kids products are handmade by artisans in Uganda and Peru. Known Supply makes all of their woven hats at ASI which is the world's first Fair Trade Certified production facility in China. All apparel is made in a factory in Peru that provides meaningful job training and employment to women and offers onsite childcare. They also work with four Fair Trade Certified factories in India.

They source third-party certified, plant based fibers, like GOTS certified organic cotton and Lenzing. This means they are as safe for growers as they are for your skin. And they work with LA-based mills to salvage fabrics. Fabrics are dyed at local Bluesign certified dye houses that recycle water and use low impact, non-toxic dyes.

Passion Lilie's training program gives women three months of free job training (during which they never work on Passion Lilie garments) along with a salary and a loaned sewing machine. When she is done, the trainee is offered a job.
